WHOOOO WEEEEE!!!

People have been sending me emails and saying "Dang Henry, you're so witty. Why haven't you written in awhile?" People need to lay off me. I don't need that stress in my life. I'm a busy baby with a full schedule. I've even hired an assistant. I call him dad.

I'm not lying about being busy. Since we last spoke I started daycare. I miss grandma a bunch because she took me for walks and kissed me on my ample cheeks. She also let me kick back in my car seat with a bottle while I watched her garden. She's good stuff. Since I left her side she is back on the campaign trail running for re-election for Golden Valley city council. So if you see her kissing babies, such as myself, a little more than normal you know why.

I listen to music all the time. I really like music. My dad tells me about all these so called great bands with songs that can change my life. What the heck does that even mean? Seriously. Just give me a teether and throw "Kokomo" on my iPod and I'm all set. Music really doesn't get any better than the Cocktail Soundtrack. I groove to that gem daily at daycare.

There is one minor little setback to daycare. I like the people. I have great conversations with my main man Kenneth and the older "ladies" give me hugs when I arrive even before I can get out of my carseat. Unfortunately the other kids sometimes get colds and stick their hands in their mouth and then stick their hands in my mouth etc...I can count the amount of times I've been sick on both hands. Eleven to be exact. My doctor gave me some pink stuff to eat out of a syringe. I found out today I was allergic to it. Daycare called my mommy and told her that I was '86ed for the day because I had a rash. My doctor seems nice but seriously can you trust a guy who always threatens to put you in his pocket? I wasn't going to tell you about my embarrasing rash but I overheard my dad telling my mommy that he told everyone at work. Can't a kid get any privacy? I don't go around telling people about his stinky feet.

For those who don't know, I'm a huge Twins fan. The picture on the right shows off the sweatshirt that I received from my Auntie Sarah. It fits well and I think I look pretty cool in it. I noticed a couple of 2 year old ladies doing a double take at the mall. That's what I'm talking about. Well, the Twins had a pretty good run at the end of the season. They won their division and set a good example for the youth of Minnesota. Problem is they ran into the dirty cheating Yankees in the playoffs. My favorite 9 smelled worse than my Diaper Champ the day before garbage day. I won't hold it against them though. It's hard to play baseball with both hands around your neck.

All my loyal followers know I'm really into football. I was hoping Brett Favre would come to the Vikings and lead them to victory. Well, last time we spoke he hadn't made up his mind yet. Then one day he announces that he was going to stay retired. A week later he changed his mind again and said he was going to wear purple. I have heard a lot of people complaining about him but I don't get involved. I've had mood swings like that when I've been tired. Plus the Vikings haven't lost a game since I've been alive. Dad and Grandpa have to be jealous of that. I hear them crying on and on about the 1998 Vikings. Man they're old. Get over it. Grandpa and Grandma Leet did get me this sweet Adrian Peterson jersey. I've watched a few games at grandma and grandpa's house. Grandmas fun. She was wearing corduroy pants and that blew my mind. Nice texture.

I've started to eat solid food now. Not only is it tasty but it can be a lot of fun. Sometimes I paint my face with it. It's kind of sticky, messy and not very pleasant but it cracks me up to watch my mom have to wash it out of my eyes. Sometimes you have to sacrifice for your art.

Now that I'm six months old I can sit up and I spend a lot of time grinning and laughing. My parents are pretty funny, contrary to popular belief. I think I'll keep them. I've also been baptized which was interesting. I had to stand in front of a huge audience while some guy I didn't know poured water on my head. I didn't get stage fright or anything and their was a lot of people there.

Well, tell my assistant to hold my calls cuz I need a nap. Please remember that a vote for Grandma DeDe Scanlon is a vote for H-Dogg. Peace.

Hi loyal army of fans and followers. This is Henry again. Many things have happened since I last checked in with you. I've managed to stay away from the paparazzi for the most part but as you can tell by the unsolicited photos on my blog I wasn't always successful. I am now three months old which is great because now I have senority over all those two month olds. They have to respect my opinion. Speaking of opinions, that Brett Favre still hasn't signed with my beloved Vikings. I think that stinks worse than rotten cheese he stores in his Wranglers.

Did I mention to you yet that I took my first airplane ride? I noticed some of the adults on the plane sucked down a bottle and fell asleep so I followed suit. I don't remember much of it but my dad tells me it was a bumpy landing. I'll take his word for it. I was dreaming about all the hotties I'm going to meet in the future. Mom, Dad and I went to Detroit for the Decker/Spitler wedding. Something of some sort of significance happened the first day that we were there. Some guy named Michael Jackson apparently passed away. I'm not sure what that means but I hear he was the self-proclaimed "King of Poop." I don't know how long he had been going around claiming that cuz I'm pretty sure I hold that title. It makes me emotional just thinking about it. Anyway, the day after this happened we went to Motown. There were people outside and news reporters talking about the Michael Jackson guy. I got to go in the recording studio where they recorded their songs. That music doesn't do much for me except that "ABC" song is pretty sweet. I asked mom if I could get an afro just like the Jackson 5 but she said no since I've lost some of my hair. Dad says I need a baby toupee to cover up the bald spot on the side of my head. He thinks he's funny but I'm pretty sure next time he changes me i'll pee in his beard and that will set him straight. The wedding was a blast by the way. It was at the Detroit Zoo. I slept through most of it but I did wake up in time to work my vocal cords at the reception. They had a live band that played Stones songs. Pretty sweet.

Come to think of it, Keith Richards looks a lot like my great grandpa. I posted a picture of us together. He's the only great grandpa I have so I lean on him from time to time. I also have a great granny. I call her "wolf wolf." We ate some pizza together once. Old people are the bomb.

This next picture is of my mom, dad and I. This was taken at my cousin Will's 3rd birthday party. It was cowboy themed. Mom didn't get the memo but she did spend a little extra time making sure I was dressed like my dad. Embarassing. I'll never live this down.

Speaking of lame parents...
Mom and dad took me to my first Twins game, right? Well, they were playing the dirty south siders from Chicago. The White Sox jumped up to a huge lead right away and even though I was perfectly content watching the game, not crying or pooping my pants, my stinkin' parents decided it was time to go home. Remember when I was talking about how old people were the bomb? Well this would be the exception. I just wanted to watch my favorite player, Nick Punto and they decided we should hit the road. In the car on the way home the Twins tied the game and it ended up going 16 innings. I heard on a podcast on my Fisher Price iPod the next morning that they lost sometime around when I wake up the neighborhood cuz i'm hungry.
Well, I guess that's enough from me for now. I'm getting sleepy and my spit up is getting all over the keyboard. Off I go. Hopefully next time that Favre guy will be the QB and not T-Jack. I don't like that Favre guy that much. Something about his grey stubble but that T-Jack guy stinks. Anyway. Peace be with you muthas.

I am 2 months old and all I got is this lowsy blog...

Hi fans,

This is Henry. I'm two months old today and man it has been quite a ride. I have to apologize for not writing the last blog. I didn't really have my vocabulary down yet but now that I'm two months old I know more words than former President George W. Bush.

Recently I discovered something that I really need to tell you about. A few times a day I close my eyes and I do this thing that mommy and daddy call sleep. It's super sweet. I usually feel better after I do it and I feel refreshed and ready for an exciting staring contest with whomever is around. Also a lot of the time lately I've been sleeping from about 10pm to 6am in the morning. That's right suckers! I'm a gold star sleeper.

My daddy has been teaching me all about music and sports. That Beatles band is pretty awesome. "Let it Be" and "Hey Jude" usually make me nap. I like that. I also think "Baby O' Reilly" from some band called "The Who" is pretty rocking. I've also learned about sports. I like the Minnesota Twins. My favorite player is TC Bear. He's pretty cool. Also I like Joe Mauer. I'm excited about football as well. Apparently my favorite team is the Vikings. My dad said it is good to be a Vikings fan because you can learn disapointment at an early age. My daddy is really smart. I'm curious to see if that cheesehead guy is our quarterback cuz I watched some "highlights" from T-Jack and it made me really sad.

I had my two month appt today too. I'm not very happy about that. I'm kind of sad as a matter of fact. I just learned how to smile recently and I'm not so sure I'm going to flash my pearly gums to anyone for a couple days after that nurse got a hold of me.
Lastly, I'd love to tell you about my baths. They are awesome. Daddy has been sitting in the water with me and I gave him a little surprise. Sorry dad but warm water makes me poop.

that's all for now

XO

Well Hello!

Greetings from the Leet Family!!!

It has been a mere 7 weeks since the arrival of our precious little prince, Henry Leet, and how time has flown!

We have decided to join the world of blogging and will do our best to update this page each month to give you an idea of what Henry, mom and dad are up to!

The photo you see here was taken by our good friend Jim Soule while we met he and his wife Sarah for lunch one day on a family outing. Henry enjoys spending time with our friends, and loves getting out of the house, so we do both as often as possible. We feel fortunate to have close friends who enjoy being around the little bugger, even when he has his crabby pants on.

Henry and mom spend their days taking walks together, visiting Grandma Dede and having lunch with her, visiting friends for lunch, taking well-needed naps, and just getting to know each other more and more each day. Henry enjoys cuddling with mom, and often falls asleep while snuggling with her.

Mom goes back to work in only 5 weeks. Now you might think this sounds like a generous amount of time yet, however, it does not feel that way necessarily. Once mom is back at work however, Henry will be spending time with Grandma Dede, who has been gracious enough to agree to watching him before he is able to start daycare in August.

Dad doesn't miss out on much of the fun although he's working full time. He is able to see Henry in the morning, when he's either eating or just waking up to start his day. Sometimes, when it has been cold or rainy outside, Henry will sleep in and dad just has to give him a kiss goodbye which is just as nice.

At the end of dad's work day, he is anxious to get home to see Henry, and they usually spend a few minutes just cuddling and talking about the day. Henry likes to be with dad who sings to him a lot.

Mom and dad are busy keeping up with feedings, changing laundry, cleaning bottles, changing diapers, playing on the floor and just adjusting to life as new parents. It has been such a wonderful experience.

Henry enjoys bathtime, and it has become a staple at night during his bedtime routine. It's entertaining for mom and dad to watch his facial expressions as we scrub him down and pour warm water over his body. He looks completely relaxed!

We will keep you updated on our time together as a family and hope to post more pictures soon. Thank you taking time to read about our first few weeks together!!!
