better late than never...

Hi all,

Big day today. The Minnesota Vikings are preparing to WIN this evening in New Orleans. The pieces are in place. Favre comes out of retirement to win one more Super Bowl. He plays the NFC championship near his hometown and travels on to the Super Bowl in Miami, the site of his only previous Super Bowl win and wins it one more time then he rides off into the sunset on a John Deere tractor with a dirty hat. I can vision it clearly through my purple tinted glasses.

I know what you are all thinking. I hear it everyday listening to KFAN on my way home from daycare. The Vikings will blow the big game. They always do. Come on people. I know what it's like. I've been bleeding purple my entire life. I've been around to see the losses to the Steelers, Cardinals, Panthers and Bears. It's hard to think that I've had to suffer through 4 regular season losses. It's just not fair. Tonight is different though. The Saints run is OVER!

The picture above is Grandpa Leet telling me about the Vikings losing 4 Super Bowls and never winning one. I love my Grandpa but I'm pretty sure he's lying to me. You can see it on my face in this picture. Tall tales from grey beard Grandpa. Come to think of it Grandpa has a sweet grey beard like Brett Favre. He can't throw a football as far though. But my love for him is thisssssssssssss bigggg!" (you can't see it but my hands are in the air and I may or may not be waving them around)

I feel like I've grown up a lot throughout this Vikings season. When it started I was just sitting around slobbering and crapping on myself. Now I crawl around, pull myself up on furniture, clap my hands, wave bu-bye and sit around crapping myself. I attribute this maturing to watching Brett Favre's example. He's taught me a lot about being an adult. When things are going well you slap your friends on the butt as hard as you can, you don't shave your grey stubble, you wear stonewash Wranglers and you sing about having your pants on the ground with your hat turned sideways. I can't wait to be an adult. It looks like so much fun. I'm going to leave you with a couple of videos that should help boost your enthusiasm for tonight's big Vikings game.
